A very artistic locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This lovely sterling silver piece features a hand-painted floral motif in the center. The inlaid enamel image depicts beautiful pink and white flowers in bloom, which are grouped with large green leaves. When opened, the locket reveals two spaces to store a special photographs inside, behind removable frames. At the top of the piece is a large fluted bail, perfect for hanging the locket from a favorite chain. A wonderful antique piece, the feminine hand-painted details show exemplary artistry. This gorgeous locket would make a stunning keepsake addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 2 3/8" long, including the bail at the top. The oval locket itself measures 1 3/4" long, 1 1/2" wide, and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting or inlaid enamel design. The locket opens and closes securely, and the bail is secure and intact.
