This beautiful 15ct gold Victorian locket features a wonderfully detailed horse hoof, with a blue enamel shoe (the horse shoe being a traditional good luck symbol). The pendant opens up into a deep locket within which a picture, lock of hair or small momento might be kept. 

The front of this wonderful antique locket features ornate engraving all over its face, a swirling floral design with two sweet forget me not flowers at each end. This intricate detail continues around both sides and the back of the locket, the kind of incredible detailing that the Victorians did best.

The top lid lifts up to reveal a hidden locket compartment which is currently empty. The lid closes securely. The underside of the locket features a beautiful cobalt blue enamelling to represent the horse shoe, and amazing detail of the horse's hoof.

Measuring 1.8m long, 1.7cm wide, and with a depth of 7mm, it weighs 3.76g of 15ct Gold.
